Your content optimisation process

First, I’ll check the technical details:

  • Meta data – title tags, meta descriptions ensuring they have the right keywords and are enticing enough to make readers click on them.

  • Headers – H1s, H2s,  H3s - ensuring they clearly explain what’s on the page, contain appropriate keywords and help pull the reader down the page.

  • Anchor text – is it natural and not keyword stuffed?

  • Call-to-action (CTA) buttons – do they use words that make readers click? I can help with that.

  • Internal/external linking – let’s check if you have enough internal links strategically placed to improve SEO? Are you linking externally to reference your work or to be helpful to the reader?

  • Navigation – ensuring it make sense and follows best practices. Is it easy for the reader to find things?

 Then, I’ll dive into the content.

  • Content audit I’ll analyse your existing content to see if it’s fulfilling the reader’s search intent and driving them to convert

  • Is it helpful reading? (Will it pass Google’s Quality Raters Guidelines)

  • Is it conversion friendly? Does the content convince the reader to do what you want, like pick up the phone, contact you, buy a product.

  • Is it optimised for Google? Will Google’s robots knowing that he what your page is about and who it’s for so they can judge if it’s relevant for the reader.

  • Competitor analysis – I’ll look at up to 3 of your competitors to see if their copy outshines yours, and if it’s better optimised for Google.

  • Restructuring/rewriting NB: This is an additional service for when the copy just isn’t hitting the spot and needs to be redone. Fees to be discussed.

  • Blog content - Let’s see if the topics are appropriate, if we can improve on them, and maybe we need to break your blog up into bite-size chunks, with more sub- headers, bullets, quotes and images.
